OCON RETURN TO PICCADILLY GATE FOR MOD FIT OUT
The £200K project resulted in Ocon fitting out the fourth floor of Piccadilly Gate for the building’s owners, British Rail Board (Residuary) BRB(R), according to the MoD’s requirements. The works involved adaptation of the existing M&E installation, creation of meeting rooms and carpeting.
The two month schedule was designed to ensure that the MoD’s IT team could install the required systems whilst the fit out works were still in progress, enabling the MoD to take up occupancy by the end of January 2011.
Comments managing director of Ocon, Andrew Barker: “The Piccadilly Gate refurbishment scheme was a major project for us and has already created a new landmark in Manchester’s commercial landscape. We won this fit out contract for the same scheme following a competitive tender and are delighted that the calibre of our work on the refurbishment has helped us to secure this follow on project.”
