Devell House, Manchester

Devell House offers much needed accommodation for the cities key worker community.

As the site required extensive clearance works an enabling works programme was created comprising asbestos removal, demolition works and the relocation of an electrical substation.

Once clear Ocon proceeded with the construction of the building which encapsulated all that is best in construction whilst being built with the environment in mind. This included the incorporation of a sedum roof to minimize the impact on the structures surrounding area.

The project is comprised of 56 apartments over an eight storey steel based structure.

An ethical approach was a main factor in this project, allowing the client to be committed to providing the best accommodation possible to an important part of Manchester´s community.
