Jacob Street, Leeds
This 25 storey scheme is one of the tallest buildings in Leeds containing 564 bedroom student accommodation for those who come to Leeds every year to study at the Universities.
The building features full ICT infrastructure, state of the art security and a gymnasium on the 23rd floor.
Through the use of slipform construction and other modular construction techniques the phasing of the project was changed and the development was completed 12 months ahead of the original programme.
The importance of security for the students lead to the installation of the latest image identification systems on the project which worked in conjunction with other security systems and the extensive ICT systems.
