Completed Projects
Opal Court London Road
London Road, Liverpool integrated the conversion and restoration of a grade II listed building with a new build, in the heart of Liverpool's busy city centre.
After careful restoration and reinstatement, involving close
co-ordination with local planning and heritage officials, the listed building is now fully returned to its
former glory. Standing proudly on a bustling corner, its curved slate roof, turreted tower and stonework
facade reflect the popular architecture of the period.
The new elements of the site warp around
the existing structure, echoing its height and form, yet the modern design and use of contemporary materials,
such as glass panels and zinc cladding, provide a complimentary contrast.
The scheme provides 515 student bedrooms of standard, deluxe and disabled specification. At pavement level, commercial units along with new facilities such as a full leisure suite and swimming pool, bring great new amenities to the students, locals and business people alike.
Bob Pringle, Commercial Director said "The finished building is a credit to all who have been involved on the project, finishing on time and on budget despite the complicated nature of the different elements of construction and refurbishment involved"
