STUDENT SCHEME IS DRESSED TO IMPRESS IN DUNDEE
Ocon’s £19.75 project to construct new student accommodation in Dundee is now only months away from completion, and the building is already an imposing local landmark after the topping out ceremony marked only six months to go.
Ocon recently celebrated the structural completion of the 498-bedroom scheme with developer, Opal Property Group and the University of Abertay, Dundee (UAD) at the traditional topping out ceremony. Now, the contractor is continuing to progress works to programme, ensuring that handover can take place in August, ready for the first students to take up residence in time for the 2010/2011 academic year.
Located in the Parker Street area of Dundee, the new student accommodation, designed by Hurdrolland architects, is being built on the site of former jute industry tenements. Once completed it will provide en-suite accommodation for UAD.
